Research Resource Identifiers (#RRID)
Investigators are encouraged to acknowledge LSUHS core facilities via Research Resource Identifiers (RRIDs).
Research Resource Identifiers (#RRID) are ID numbers assigned to help researchers cite key resources (antibodies, model organisms and software projects) in the biomedical literature to improve transparency of research methods. These unique identification numbers should make it easier for researchers to cite key core resources in publications and make it easier for cores to track their scientific impact. Proper acknowledgment enables us to obtain financial and other support so that we may continue to provide essential services.
The list of RRID numbers for some of our campus cores is below. You can click on the RRID to get more information in the Core Marketplace. If you click on the “cite this facility” button on each page, the recommended citation is provided. For example, “Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport - Research Core Facility, RRID:SCR_024775.”
