Leica Stellaris 8 TauSTED Confocal System
The Leica Stellaris 8 STED is a high-end confocal microscope with an extended spectral range combined with STED (Stimulated Emission Depletion) super resolution system. The system is built on an inverted DMi8 CS Premium microscope base, with fully automated objectives, stage and filter turrets. The microscope is equipped with a 405 nm laser and a tunable (440 nm-790 nm) pulsed white-light laser for excitation and five Power HyD detectors. STED Super-Resolution microscopy system includes three pulsed STED lasers (589 nm, 660 nm, and 775 nm), and is able to achieve resolution of less than 50 nm in the lateral direction and 130 nm in the axial direction.
