Usage Fee:  $10/hour

The Agilent Seahorse XFe24 is an end-user instrument.  All sample preparation and analyses are  performed by the end-user.  All reagents must be purchased by the end-user.  

1. Reservations are mandatory.  You must schedule runs in advance using the online calendar.  Include your name, your PI's name, and a reachable phone number when making your reservation.
2. If runs conducted during normal working hours (M-F, 8am-5pm) are 5 hours or less, then no advanced scheduling is needed (you can schedule the day of).  However, if you anticipate your runs will be longer than 5 hours, you must schedule at least 1 week in advance.  Unlimited use is allowed before/after work hours and on weekends.
3. You must completely fill in the login sheet next to the Seahorse when starting your run.
4. You may use the non-CO₂ incubator next to the Seahorse, but please make sure you clean up after yourself.
5. You must remove your plate as soon as possible after your run is complete.  It is not appropriate for you to leave your plate in for the next user to remove.
6. You may not train other members of your lab to use the Seahorse.  All trainings must go through David Custis (david.custis@lsuhs.edu).
7. If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so 24 hours ahead of time, or notify RCF staff as soon as possible; otherwise, you will be charged hourly according to the time you reserved.
8. If you have special needs, please reach out to RCF staff, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
